Decision Making

How the Process works

It's Simple!

  • CompuCorps and (your company) will meet and agree to place the laptop collection box at your company’s office.

  • Greg Stevens (director of Marketing & Communication, EDS) and Bill Marvel (Executive Director, CompuCorps) agreeing to take part in a laptop collection and volunteer event.

  • The box will be given to a corporate volunteer who will be in charge of collecting the laptops and issuing tax receipts to the donor(s).
  • Mary Bundy (EDS) took on the role of the internal volunteer to take care of the laptop collection box and to issue tax receipt forms.

  • The box will be picked up a week after being issued by a CompuCorps representative, to be brought back to CompuCorps’ TechCentre for the laptops to be refurbished.

  • Laura Vescio (Development Coordinator, CompuCorps) outside EDS office bringing the box back to CompuCorps TechCentre.

  • Here is your chance to become more involved in the process…members of your staff can choose come to our TechCentre on an issued date and become volunteers for the day. If they have technical knowledge they can help with the refurbishing or testing of equipment, and if not they can help us create more laptop donation boxes.
  •          Greg Stevens (EDS) showing off his artistic skills.               EDS team of volunteers showing off their computer skills.

  • The finished product is donated through our partner charities or given to those in need. And the cycle continues…
  • Young new Canadian testing out his first laptop!

  • Or simply e-mail us and we will pick up your laptops, or you can drop them off at our Techcentre at 1040 Somerset Street West. E-mail laura@compucorps.info for more information.
